Sinfonia para Theramin & Matryoshka (Sinfonia nº 9 de Dvorak)
Masami Takeuchi - Japanese thereminist, studied under Lydia Kavina to play the theremin.
Born in 1967.
1993 : Went to Russia to study method of playing theremin under Lydia Kavina, who is relative of Lev Termen - the inventor of theremin - and his favorite pupil.
2000 : Published "Termen Ether music and the Man who Lived 20th Centry Russia", an biography of Lev Termen and introduction of theremin.
2001 : Released 1st CD "Time slips away - Compositions for Theremin -"
2001 : Got the title of "The master of Sound", selected by Japan Audio Society (JAS).
2002 : Published "Playing the Theremin", a guidance for method of playing theremin.
He has been performed his own stages professionally as Thereminist, and he also started to teach method of theremin since 1999, has guided over 400 students till now.
2003 : Released "Matryomin", the original theremin shaped Matrioshka,from Mandarin Electron. He is the representative of this company, and sold over 1,600 in Japan till now.
2004 : Formed the ensemble of Matryomin with his pupils of theremin classes. In autumn, the ensemble "Mable" performed in Russia successfully.
2006 : In May, Masami and Matryomin ensemble "Mable" Played in Germany and England. In August, released his 2nd CD "VOCALISE" and re-issued "Time slips away - Compositions for Theremin -".
Masami Takeuchi has performed in 180 times of concert stage, and appeared in TV and radio show come up to 140 times.
